I offer instruction on a freelance basis at your yard. Working with your own horse, we will explore how to obtain safety and responsiveness first on the ground and then in the saddle.

I will help you to understand horse psychology to understand why certain things are important to your horse, and how often the things that we put importance on are completely irrelevant to the horse.

We will examine your horses behaviours to determine what your horse needs you to do and be to become his leader and friend.

If your goals are just a safe hack round the roads, or to be able to ride a cross country course with confidence, I can help you attain those dreams.

Horse and House Sitting

Do you worry about leaving your precious animals with someone who might not understand Natural Horsemanship? Are you concerned that they might not fully comply with your wishes that they wait for permission before they halter your horse? Or even that they might not know how to put on the natural halter at all?!

Horse Agility

As a Horse Agility Accredited Trainer (HAAT), I am authorised by the Horse Agility Club of Great Britain to run training days and competitions.

Horse Transport

I am now able to to provide a horse transport service.

I hold the Advanced Certificate in Equine Transport, and am fully insured. The ACET qualification allows me to travel your horses for any length journey.

Transport is provided in a Cheval Liberte 2003XL trailer, which is suitable to carry two 17.2hh horses. It can be configured in several different ways to suit all horses. The trailer is regularly serviced, and has a Trailervision camera installed for added peace of mind.

Transport will be charged at £1.10 per mile round trip from IP12 3LD.

Clipping

I also provide a clipping service. I can help with nervous horses, or just give a horse a good introduction to clipping. Please contact me for details.

Trailer loading

Trailer loading can be a huge issue for horses. They are naturally claustrophobic animals who find being confined a very stressful experience. I can break down the components of loading to help your horse become calmer and braver throughout the process.

This is a service I will only provide in conjunction with ongoing lessons with myself, and it has to be understood that the confidence of the horse is more important to me than actually getting the horse in the trailer. If the horse is confident, the trailer will not be an issue.

Saddle consultancy

I can show you how poor saddle fit can not only adversely affect your horses' attitude to being ridden, but can be the cause of muscle atrophy and poor posture in your horse. Often features we commonly think of as poor conformation are actually just postural, and they can be addressed by correct saddle fitting, remedial therapies and exercises.

Video Taping

For Natural Horsemanship Auditions, or just to provide a visual reminder. I will come to your yard, tape your Audition, and either upload to youtube or provide you with two DVD copies.
